Stamford Bridge Stadium
The Chelsea Football Club has only known one home and that is Stamford Bridge Stadium. The stadium opened in 1887 and was used for mainly sporting events. The Bridge, when it was built had an impressive seating capacity of 100,000 seats. At the time that was a bit unreasonable, so plans were made to upgrade the stadium and keep the seating at 50,000.
The renovations began in 2001 and there are plans to increase the number to over 50,000 seats. There has been some talk about moving Chelsea to other locations.
