Originally called as Estadio Chamartín, Santiago Bernabéu is the home ground of Real Madrid Club de Fútbol. The stadium came into life in 1947, and got an elite 5 Star rating on the eve of its 60th anniversary.

Being popular and ranked amongst some of the world renowned football grounds, the stadium has been upfront in organizing European Cup finals in the years in 1957, 1969 and 1980 respectively. Adding another feather, the stadium was also the venue for 1964 European Nations’ Cup and the 1982 World Cup. The seating capacity of the stadium has also seen frequent changes, and at present it stands approximately 79,400.
