Nicknamed the Teddy Bears, Rangers Football Club are an old and powerful club from Glasgow, Scotland, and the most fearful rivals of Celtic. Internationally, the team is usually called Glasgow Rangers.
But the club’s names and nicknames are not so important compared to their practical successes. Founded in 1873, Rangers are the only team to have won until now no less than 51 domestic league titles. In 1972, they grabbed the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, after having reached only the second place in this competition in 1961 and 1967.

Next, the club haven’t performed very well during their UEFA Champions League campaign. Consequently, they lost £3.9 millions for the six months to December 2008 and financial problems will keep coming.
However, it is probably just a bad period for the Teddy Bears and things will get back to normal in some time.
