JJB Stadium

The current stadium of the Wigan Athletic is the JJB Stadium. The seating capacity of the stadium is 25,138. The team has been using this stadium since the 1999-2000. The team shares the stadium with Wigan Warriors Rugby League Team. The team has had some great games played there, one game where they played against Manchester United in May 2008 had a record setting capacity of 25,133.

There has been some controversy with the JJB Stadium. There was a recent dispute with the police and their involvements in policing the games. The police announced that they would not be present at the games because the team’s owners owned them money. But the situation was resolved and the team has been playing there with police present ever since.
