Bayern Munchen is the most powerful and popular football club from Germany. With a record number of 21 German titles and 14 cups, the club founded in 1900 by Franz John is one of the most important symbols of the Bavarian region. Bayern had its most successful period in the 1970s, when Franz Beckenbauer’s team won the European Cup in 1974, 1975 and 1976.
