Associazione Sportiva Roma, popularly known as Roma or AS Roma is Rome based Italian football club, actively playing professional football matches since 1927. The club is the result of three well-known Italian Football Championship clubs, Alba-Audace, Fortitudo and Roman. All these three clubs were active in Rome during the early 20th century.
AS Roma have been champions of Serie A three times, 1941–42, 1982–83 and 2000–01 respectively. The club has to its credit nine Coppa Italia trophies. The club also stood as runner up in European Cup in 1983–84 and UEFA Cup in 1990–91.
